I saw this linked at Al’s Ramblings and felt like talking about it because I realized recently that it is completely pointless to pay money for wine. It was this year that I discovered Two Buck Chuck. How, I had gone my whole life without knowing about it is beyond me. Since I don’t make it down to Trader Joe’s too often (closest one is about 45 minutes away) I decided to try out some other cheap wines without much luck. Finally my aunt turned me onto Tisdale. It goes for about $3/bottle and is really quite good. I’ve tried the Cabernet, Merlot and Shiraz and have no problem picking any of them up again.
When you consider the restaurant I work at charges $4.99/GLASS and the wine is nowhere near as good (despite going for $3-5 more at a liquor store). It’s hard to argue with the value of this stuff.
