I had Nolan, then I was sick, then it was Thanksgiving, then my dad left the country so I am in charge of the office. I’ve felt like I’ve been really busy lately and I guess I have, but I have nothing to show for it. (Then again I did make a bowl game with Temple on NCAA Football 2005 and get offered a job at Ole Miss.) I’ve made no progress on my seven card stud site, have sparsely updated Phil Ivey Rules and completely dropped the ball on Cyber Monday at LCD Flat Screen Deals. At work I haven’t even looked at my to-do list in a while. Now, I don’t even know if I am going to do most of it as there is a lot of drama right now. Without going into too much detail, the bank that we work with has decided to add a ton of fees to something that we have always advertised as no fees without telling us. They sent out a letter to all our customers telling them this and the customers are the ones that told us. Needless to say, we are not happy and it could be a lawsuit situation. If anyone ever wondered why every bank in this country is collapsing it’s probably because decision making like this is the norm.
ANYWAYS, things are turning around now and I am trying to get some stuff done. I decided to take one of my friends and get him into the affiliate game. I realized he likes poker way more than I do and is online about the same amount that I am if not more, so he’s the perfect candidate. I haven’t decided what type of site we’re going to do, but I am going to get him rolling and put it on my hostgator account so all he has to do is use wordpress to update it. My first sub-affiliate, Scots would be so proud. I’ve also been trying to write some content for the seven card stud site. I am working on a history of the game article right now and want to write something else tonight. I’ve updated all the other sites. I feel like I am getting some stuff done, which is nice, but more importantly I am inspired to get stuff done.
What, you ask, is the catalyst for all this? The cheek.
Working in a restaurant you are surrounded by young, college aged girls. This is nice because young college aged girls still like to do things like drink and have fun and smile. Summers are fun, but then they go off to college and wooo it up. When they come back for holidays things are different, but you can stil have a good time. Over the Thanksgiving break I went out with one of these young college aged girls and we had a pretty good time. She seemed to be into me and when I was walking her to her car I decided that based on the night I was good to go for makeout 08. I was not. As I leaned in for the kiss there was a sudden head turn and my lips caught nothing but cheek.
I got cheeked.
I got cheeked.
I got cheeked.
Never in my life had this happened to me. I mean, I’m Vince! Look at these bangs! Who could resist? This girl drove like five hours to get home and the first person she goes to see is me. You would think that a little making out wouldn’t be out of the question. It was.
So, yeah. Work. That sounds good about right now.
