Frank TV and Barrack Obama

Anyone who has watched the MLB playoffs on TBS this year has seen somewhere between 10 and 15 million (approximate) FrankTV commercials. They might have been funny once, but that was so long ago nobody can even remember it. (I think it was around the time the Rockies played the Phillies. Oh wait, that was last season.) For anyone that doesn’t watch baseball, watch this and share in my annoyance.

Now here’s the thing. Everyone is pissed because every time TBS goes to a commercial, we see Frank Caliendo. It’s relentless, it makes people hate him and never want to watch his show, ever. Not exactly the desired result. So, my question is this: why doesn’t the same thing happen to Barrack Obama? I live in Wisconsin and earlier in the proccess there was a ton of ads from both sides, but it seems like McCain has stopped running ads here (I guess Wisconsin isn’t a swing state anymore). Now, everytime there is a commercial break I see Barrack Obama. I wasn’t voting for the guy anyways, but I’m getting pretty sick of it. I wonder how I would feel if I was, wouldn’t I be tired out by now? The very essence of commercials are annoying so it’s not like his supporters are just sitting around cheering every time their Seinfeld rerun goes to break. This can’t be a good thing, right? If someone never watches FrankTV because so many ads have asked them to, why would they vote for someone that won’t stop asking them to?

Obama’s campaign is all about him being “different” than other politicians, but if different from politicians is the same as Frank Caliendo? I’ll take the politicians.
