Little known fact about me: I’ve been known to read some comic books. It started as a young boy with the X-Men and Spiderman, but it never really grew beyond that. I’ve read every Brian K. Vaughan book, but that’s just because he’s awesome. Even my baby’s mother enjoyed Y: The Last Man and as a rule she hates everything I like. Now I just read the Joss Whedon books (Buffy, Angel) and that’s it. Reading comics is annoying. They come out like once every 40 days and it’s possibly the slowest form of storytelling there is. So unless it’s in a tradepaperback, like I read Watchmen, I’m not doing it and even then I’m probably not.
But make no mistake about it, Watchmen is awesome. The movie looks awesome as well. The first trailer wasn’t that good, this new one? AMAZING.
I have to say I’m pretty excited for this movie just because I can finally learn how to pronounce Rorschach. That’s always bothered me.
