Seahawks and fantasy

I really used to be that guy with the rule not to have players from his favorite team on his fantasy team. I got screwed on Ichiro once and I vowed never to overrate my team’s players again. I’ve done a pretty good job of sticking with it (with the lone exception of King Felix (Quick sidenote I didn’t actually draft Felix this year, I drafted Bedard and then traded them straight up. Winner: me.) Last year I ended up with Hasselbeck at QB and won my league. So, screw that rule. Add in a few beers and I was drafting Seahawks left and right. I ended up with Burleson, the defense, Mo Morris, Mare and picked up Carlson as a free agent. After Burleson’s injury I dropped him and subsequently got rid of Morris and Mare leaving me with only two Seahawks. That just wasn’t going to do. So I swung a trade:

Ryan Grant GB RB
Anquan Boldin Buzzsaw WR

for

Matt Hasselbeck
Bobby Engram
Chester Taylor MIN RB

Yep. I traded a #1 RB and a #1 WR for an injured WR, a backup and a playing injured QB. It’s a trade with the postseason in mind because in theory after week 4, when Engram and Branch come back along with Carlson and Robinson the Seahawks offense (re: Hasselbeck) should explode. Or it could blow up in my face so easily I don’t even want to talk about it. This is either going to be the smartest or the dumbest trade I’ve ever made. Which isn’t good because I’m an idiot.
